This post will appear as I make my way to grandson number two’s home. I decided to make the effort to have this post for you as I am hoping to become more regular in posting. As I mentioned in the last post, It is hotter, the hottest day of the year so far in my prairie town. A brisk breeze is making it bearable, good enough for us to go for a six-kilometre walk in the morning.
Since we are part of this community, we prepared sandwiches for the community as it hosts a provincial youth baseball championship tournament with nine teams in competition from different parts of the province. My neighbour has a grandson competing. The town is busier as a result with more traffic on our streets and even strangers taking to jogging down the streets for exercise while waiting for their child to compete.
The wind also made it more comfortable to sunbathe and you can see in today’s image. The previous day though two degrees cooler was too hot because there was no wind. That had me cut my sunbathing time in almost half. In case you are wondering, typically, I bathe for thirty minutes. And because of the pigmentation of my skin, I don’t use sunscreen except for the first week or two of sunbathing once winter is done.
