Well, it is a relief to say the least. Three weeks ago, while visiting at my son’s home, I lost a very small flash drive. It was small, very small but it was mighty, I had the bulk of my naturist images stored on it. When I got home, I realised that I didn’t have the flash drive. For several days, I checked and rechecked every likely place for the missing drive. Despite its size, it holds 500 gb of data.

Do you know just how depressing it feels to lose years of photos. My old backup was created seven years ago and hadn’t been updated since then. The searched through various iterations of my blog site and my journals to create a poor-man’s new archive of photos taken from Word documents and from blog posts. Two weeks worth of recovery efforts finally gave me enough photos to fix early posts here on this blog site.

Over the past few days, one of my sons-in-law was doing work on my server – he brought a new server [well, not new, just new to me] which contained Nextcloud and Docker. The idea is to have it ready to run EuroOffice when it is available to me. The first thing to happen was this blog site going silent. My little Dell laptop which had been my web server was disconnected. After three days of work with the new server, it dawned on me that I needed to have my laptop become a secondary server, thus turning on the laptop which runs cyberpanel. It waan’t until suppertime when the site was live again.

As I watched nervously for the final steps to be taken, I felt something in my shirt pocket – yes, I was wearing clothing with family present for a family reunion. I took it out and realised that it was the missing flash drive.
