Well, Yesterday afternoon, I went to dispose of the tree branches as planned. And, I went to check out a dirt road towards the prairie hills. As soon as I got out of the truck, I was swarmed by mosquitoes who were desperate for blood. I didn’t spend much time outside, just enough to see if it would be sensible to go for a naturist hike. The definitive response was no! I didn’t have any bug spray to put on and a gazillion of the critters revelled in exposed human flesh. I could easily see that Danté should have included mosquitoes in one of his circles of hell.
Since I didn’t want to make the trip out to the hills again, I settled for sunbathing on the deck overlooking our backyard.

Lesson learned. Next time, bring mosquito repellent. Today, I am going to be on a country golf course with grandson number 2. My wife will be with his wife and other women as there is a baby on the way, due in September. I will become a great-grandparent for the second time. Grandson number 1 had given me a great-grandson last year.
Grandson number 3 will become a parent in December. I was lucky enough to marry all three of these grandsons. We are going to do nine holes only. The forecast is for +34 degrees. For those interested, that is equivalent to slightly more than 93 degrees Fahrenheit.
Just in case you are wondering, yes we have air conditioning.
