In the northern sector of Changzhou, in the Xin Bei district, lies China Dinosaur Park. \u00a0Looking out our apartment window we can often see the three white arms reaching as if to join hands. \u00a0We often walked towards the park without ever entering into the park during our first weeks in Changzhou. \u00a0Somehow, we decided to leave it for a future time, perhaps when visitors came so that we would be able to share in the excitement of discovery with our visitors.<\/p>\n

Each day during our first weeks was all about discovery. \u00a0Each day would have us learn something new about Chinese people in our classrooms or in activity with our co-teachers and colleagues. \u00a0Each day would have the two of us walking down different streets with cameras in hand. \u00a0For us, this experience was about being open to seeing the world differently. \u00a0We chose to not place expectations so that we would actually see more of what was there, rather than what we expected to see. \u00a0Sometimes expecting to see things shuts the door on the unexpected.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
