{"id":82,"date":"2009-01-09T08:10:47","date_gmt":"2009-01-09T14:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/saskatchewangypsy.wordpress.com\/?p=82"},"modified":"2009-01-09T08:10:47","modified_gmt":"2009-01-09T14:10:47","slug":"its-a-tough-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rglongpre.ca\/pilgrim\/index.php\/2009\/01\/09\/its-a-tough-life\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s a tough life"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_78\" style=\"width: 291px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/saskatchewangypsy.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/dsc01856.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-78\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-78\" title=\"dsc01856\" src=\"http:\/\/saskatchewangypsy.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/dsc01856.jpg?w=281\" alt=\"Little beach friend\" width=\"281\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-78\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Little beach friend<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Today the morning is quite misty out with humidity sitting at an even 100%.\u00a0 It is still a bit cool with the temperature sitting at about 22C.\u00a0 The noise from the crashing surf has become quite gentle rather than sounding like a winter blizzard.\u00a0 Something tells me that it will be a cloudy day for us here.\u00a0 This is good as we don&#8217;t want to overdo the sun bathing right off the start.<\/p>\n<p>Our walk down the beach yesterday morning was relaxing in the sunshine.\u00a0 As we walked, Maureen was beginning to pick up seashells for her collection.\u00a0 I imagine that over the next three months it will become quite the collection that will need culling before we leave so that only the best get taken home.\u00a0 Of course, I was busy taking photos.\u00a0 This little guy, I mean he was little, decided that I was an interesting subject of study.\u00a0 He was busy scooting around until I took out the camera.\u00a0 Then, like any natural cold-blooded animal, he posed for a picture (or two).\u00a0 The beach is interesting.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_80\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/saskatchewangypsy.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/dsc01866.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-80\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-80\" title=\"dsc01866\" src=\"http:\/\/saskatchewangypsy.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/dsc01866.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Maureen's favourite flower which was growing along side of a villa wall.\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-80\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Maureen&#39;s favourite flower which was growing along side of a villa wall.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>At the end of our walk along the beach, we visited a couple from Nanaimo.\u00a0\u00a0 It was a good visit as she was an ESL teacher and SpecEd teacher in BC.\u00a0 He was also a teacher, basically teaching and administering a computer tech school.\u00a0 They are just about finished building a brand new bome on the second row of villas.\u00a0 We will be visiting them again, likely on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>With that visit done, we walked back to our villa along the beach taking more photos and collecting a few more shells.\u00a0 Once back at the villa, it was time for a swim before setting to work making a pot of vegetable and noodle soup.\u00a0 Home cooking can&#8217;t be beat.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_79\" style=\"width: 294px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/saskatchewangypsy.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/dsc01865.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-79\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-79\" title=\"dsc01865\" src=\"http:\/\/saskatchewangypsy.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/dsc01865.jpg?w=284\" alt=\"The sandy lane between the beach villas and the second row of villas.\" width=\"284\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-79\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The sandy lane between the beach villas and the second row of villas.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The afternoon was a time for reading, relaxing and just plain enjoying the fact that we were alive and well in Mexico.\u00a0 I guess you could call this &#8220;siesta&#8221; time without the sleeping part.\u00a0 Yes, we are starting to go native.<\/p>\n<p>In the late afternoon, it was time to again go walking, this time down the sandy lane in the opposite direction.\u00a0 Quite a ways down the lane, we came across another Canadian couple, from Ontario.\u00a0 Of course, we had to go in and have a chat and a beverage in order to be friendly.\u00a0 They have also been here for just a few days as well.\u00a0 They drove down and so have their car with them.\u00a0 By the time we finished our &#8220;getting to know each other&#8221;
