{"id":742,"date":"2010-11-02T18:36:52","date_gmt":"2010-11-02T10:36:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/?p=742"},"modified":"2010-11-02T18:36:52","modified_gmt":"2010-11-02T10:36:52","slug":"saturday-afternoon-rambles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rglongpre.ca\/pilgrim\/index.php\/2010\/11\/02\/saturday-afternoon-rambles\/","title":{"rendered":"Saturday Afternoon Rambles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc05223.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-743\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc05223.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"367\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc05218.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-744\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc05218.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"197\" \/><\/a>When the weather is right, we love going for long Saturday walks. \u00a0As part of our reward for putting in a lot of kilometres, we enjoy stopping for a bowl of noodle soup, especially at an Ajisen Ramen restaurant, a Japanese noodle soup chain we enjoy visiting in other cities in China as well. \u00a0As you can see, I am getting quite proficient in eating noodle soup using a wooden spoon and chopsticks. \u00a0Maureen does a better job as she doesn&#8217;t flick the noodles as much and so keeps the soup off her clothing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc05251.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-745\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc05251.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"312\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc05251.jpg\"><\/a>This past Saturday was a beautiful sunny day and warmer than the weather during the week. \u00a0When we got to Hong Mei Park, we found the place busy with a lot of students as well as families. \u00a0One group of college kids were playing a game in the trees which made us laugh. \u00a0When we stopped to look at the fall roses, we were soon surrounded by college kids anxious to practice their English with us and to have photos taken with us.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc05314.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-747\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc05314.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"187\" \/><\/a>Three hours of wandering through the park and taking a gazillion photos of roses, we decided to head home to make supper and then enjoy a night watching one of our DVD movies, &#8220;Nights in Rodanthe.&#8221;
