id=\"caption-attachment-700\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Snowy Egret<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Well, as the title tells you, this post if for the birds. \u00a0I am posting fifteen different photos of birds we have seen. \u00a0Well, we have seen more, but they didn&#8217;t all sit still in order to have their photo taken. \u00a0Two of the photos are not as good as I would like, so I will be taking more of those birds if and when I next see them.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_702\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a id=\"caption-attachment-703\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Black Vulture<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Some like this brown pelican, black vulture and snowy egret were found along the beach, and others such as the white winged dove are found just a few metres from our doorstep.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_704\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a id=\"caption-attachment-705\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Social Flycatcher<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This White Ibis was a difficult photo to get as he was hiding with four other Ibises along a small stream. \u00a0The Social Flycatcher is actually quite noisy and hangs out just outside our door when he and his mate are not busy building their nest on the power line a few doors down.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption-text\">Great Tailed Grackle<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_707\" style=\"width: 264px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a id=\"caption-attachment-707\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bare Throated Tiger Heron<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I&#8217;ve seen quite a few of these Tiger Herons near the beach. \u00a0He is one mighty strange looking bird. \u00a0The Great Tailed Grackle is a colourful little guy that looks like a cousin to a bluebird. \u00a0I don&#8217;t remember grackles looking anything like this back in id=\"caption-attachment-709\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Groove Billed Ani<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Here is another bird that seems familiar yet different. \u00a0He&#8217;s a Clay Colored Robin. \u00a0He acts like a robin, only the colour is wrong from what I would have expected after seeing robins in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The Groove-Billed Ani is a strange looking bird indeed. \u00a0I managed to get quite a few shots including this one with his wings on full display.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_710\" style=\"width: 279px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a id=\"caption-attachment-711\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Scarlet Macaw<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This is a cute guy that we see hanging around our villa as well, a small wren. \u00a0We have other wrens as well, only I haven&#8217;t been always ready with the camera when they are around. \u00a0 This photo of a pair of Scarlet Macaws is definitely in need of a replacement. \u00a0We have seen this couple three times already near sunset. \u00a0Of course light conditions make for poorer photos especially when the birds are moving. \u00a0Oh well, at least we have seen them free and not just in some id=\"caption-attachment-713\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mrs. Great Tailed Grackle<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Now this is some bird, the great-tailed grackle. \u00a0Listening to the male each morning is interesting as he makes so many different weird sounds including sounding like a set of car horns or the sounds of someone&#8217;s car security system going off. \u00a0It took quite a while to put the sounds and the bird together.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_714\" style=\"width: 274px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/saskatchewangypsy.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/dsc09620.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-714\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-714\" title=\"DSC09620\" src=\"http:\/\/saskatchewangypsy.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/dsc09620.jpg?w=264\" alt=\"\" width=\"264\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-714\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Baltimore Oriole<\/p><\/div>\n<p>And finally, to bring this post to an end, is a beautiful bird we get to see both in front of our villa and out in nature, a Baltimore Oriole.<\/p>\n<p>Like I said, we have seen many other birds, but not always when a camera is with us. \u00a0Yes, I know, I should always take the camera. \u00a0But, life isn&#8217;t only about taking photos when you are beside a warm sea. \u00a0Sometimes there are other priorities.<\/p>\n<p>That said, I do have a great collection of hummingbird photos that will
