{"id":514,"date":"2010-10-02T18:09:55","date_gmt":"2010-10-02T10:09:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/?p=514"},"modified":"2010-10-02T18:09:55","modified_gmt":"2010-10-02T10:09:55","slug":"lights-of-xin-bei-district","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rglongpre.ca\/pilgrim\/index.php\/2010\/10\/02\/lights-of-xin-bei-district\/","title":{"rendered":"Lights of Xin Bei District"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc04376.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-515 alignleft\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc04376.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"161\" \/><\/a>Bright lights, big city! \u00a0Yes, the lights of Changzhou make for great evening photography. \u00a0Most of the lighting is done use LED technology which is one of the local industrial specialty sectors.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc04404.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-517\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc04404.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"271\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is one of my favorite scenes looking out from Xin Bei Park, a place Maureen and I enjoy walking in the evenings as well as during the day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc04406.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-518\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/laowaiteacher.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dsc04406.jpg?w=217\" alt=\"\" width=\"217\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>The lake in the park makes for great reflections of the tall buildings that can be seen in background. \u00a0Scenes such as these are found all over the city, especially as one walks along the canals that intersect the city in so may locations. \u00a0Changzhou is becoming more cosmopolitan in this regard. \u00a0Already it rivals the city lights for most Canadian cities.<\/p>\n<p>The city has changed in this regard since the first time we arrived in August of 2006. \u00a0Changzhou is beginning to lose its &#8220;provincial&#8221; feel as it becomes a major player in the urbanization and industrialization of China.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bright lights, big city! \u00a0Yes, the lights of Changzhou make for great evening photography. \u00a0Most of the lighting is done use LED technology which is one of the local industrial specialty sectors.
