A living sea shell.<\/p><\/div>\n

A quiet day, a sunny day, the perfect kindof day for a long walk along the beach in order to discover small things while allowing our bodies to adjust to the sun.\u00a0 Our stay here will likely have many such days, good days.<\/p>\n

Walking along the beach, collecting shells, we came upon this beautiful shell to add to the collection when we noticed that there was a life form inside the shell.\u00a0 It wasn’t too long before it emerged outside of its shell in order to check out what was happening with its eyes on long thin stalks searching out the new environment up in the air.<\/p>\n

The tide is out showing more of the homemade property boundaries which also serve as beach protection.<\/p><\/div>\n

The\u00a0tide was out which allowed us to follow the shoreline much easier as there are a number of properties that have their walls go all the way to the water, illegal of course as there is a law requiring a set distance between buildings and walls and the shoreline.\u00a0 \"dsc01986\"<\/a><\/div>\n
Since the tide was out, it allowed us to find larger shells which were absolutely beautiful.<\/div>\n
Of course, the birds were entertaining as well.\u00a0 Seagulls, terns, frigates with white heads, and pelicans all caught and held our attention at times, especially the way they would dive for food.<\/div>\n
\"dsc02002\"<\/a>An attempt toget close to a row of seagulls perched on the breakwater posts Provided me with a great photo opportunity, one which was too hard to resist.\u00a0 Once we returned to our villa, we put out our collection of shells to dry in the sunshine.\u00a0 \"dsc01997\"<\/a><\/div>\n
After a rest on the patio, it was either time to read or do something else.\u00a0 Well, the idea to clean up the beach in front of our villa came up.\u00a0\u00a0 Taking time to clean up the dead seaweed and to rake up larger stones and shells was time well spent as it let us be in the sun while being active.<\/div>\n
A side benefit of the beach cleaning was that the beach is now\u00a0easier on the feet, at least in the area in front of our villa.\u00a0 I wonder if others will follow our example.<\/div>\n
The evening was time for listening to the Senators versus Rangers game.\u00a0 Sadly, the Senators found another way to lose a game in spite of the good play by a goal tender called up from their minor team.\u00a0 So ended another day.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
