I am on the upper outside balcony at Casa Valdivia which we have rented for almost three months in this photo taken on the third. We didn’t realise it when we had moved up our time in Olón, but we would have to leave Ecuador for a number of days or else end up with a huge fine for exceeding 90 days within the country. The casa is huge, a two-storey affair with three bedrooms on the upper level with a large balcony with a palapa roof to keep out the sun and the rain, but not the mosquitoes.

It was a good place for me to be nude without causing Maureen stress. It would become my primary writing space for the winter. The owner is Marcelo and his wife Meghan. Marcelo is a Canadian-Ecuadorian. He grew up in Ecuador but moved to Canada with his parents as a teenager.
The second photo, taken on the fifth, shows the tan-through swimsuit that I wore at the beach – I have two of them. Yes, they are kimpy, yet they do the job of keeping me out of trouble.
My writing projects were my Jungian blog, my naturist blog, and editing the Longpré story I had been working on for NaNoWriMo. Earlier today, we went to La Libertad with Marcelo as he was buying things for the property as there are two condos in a separate building also in the yard. His five-year old son, Darios is also at Casa Valdivia. He and his father, Marcelo are staying in the bottom condo.
