Chilling in Ghent

In Ghent writing up blog post

Today is day twenty in Europe and we are in Ghent, our third and last day in this city. Today was a rest day, meaning we didn’t do any major walking to discover new parts of the city. We only walked about nine kilometres today compared 255 kilometres over 18 days of wandering through various cities, about 14 kilometres per day. In our wanderings, I am surprised at just how many images and statues there are that have the nude human body celebrated. Here in Ghent it is no different.

I am lucky in that in each of our accommodations so far, I have been able to be nude when indoors. It helps that we have had our own apartments where we can cook and live normally when not out walking. I just have to put on clothing when we head out the door. I recommend the idea of renting apartments and studio suites to any who get tired of hotels and want an opportunity to live like a local by shopping at local markets and cooking meals at home. That said, we do go out for an occasional meal or to have coffee at a sidewalk cafe and do some people watching.

Now, it’s time to head out with the camera and discover something about this amazing place.

It is great to see that you are enjoying Europe. Really nice cities in Belgium. And the pics are great, you can be nude inside at least.
