I received an e-mail one day alerting me to the fact about National Poetry Writing Month in America, NaPoWriMo. So, I gave it a try even though I am not American. I wrote 14 poems while in Mexico and 16 poems while in Canada – confusing if anyone is focused on the “national” aspect. Regardless of the issues of nationality, thirty poems were written during the month, poems with a naturist theme – naked body, naked psyche, naked truths – written while in a state of being clothes-free.
I followed up later with writing more naturist poetry that came to be a blend of Jungian psychology, Buddhism, and the reality of being a naturist in a world that is obsessed with clothing and hiding the real human beneath that clothing. By the time autumn arrived, I had written enough poems to fill a book. The result was my first book of Naked Poetry, a collection of forty poems with accompanying photos, some of which contain nudity.
The book has been published and is available at Blurb, CreateSpace, and Amazon.
