A Re-Birth Present to Myself

with 4 comments

I am posting this photo I took on my birthday in 2006, a month before leaving Canada to teach at a university in China.  I will let the photo speak for itself about alchemical transitions.  For me, this was a moment of rebirth as though I was rising out of the ashes of retirement into a state of personal freedom.  Enjoy!

  3. Lovely shot. Rebirth is a wonderful experience – and gives you the opportunity to change the direction of your growth, to use the experience gained in your ‘last life’ to make different choices and to extend yourself in different directions.

Such hope and excitement also comes with shucking off the old, constraining chrysalis and emerging as a new life form!

  4. Thanks, Lotus. You are right about this experience, this rebirthing of the spirit, soul, psyche. I know that we both made China part of that journey of rebirth. I wonder what comes next, the next transformation.
