Where do we hide our garbage?

Humans are messy people. Life isn’t about simplicity for people, it’s more about striving for complications, for escaping the least common denominator. We strive to “have”, especially things that we don’t absolutely need. And, those things must be packaged in such a way that they please us like some Christmas present wrapped in colourful paper with ribbons and cards. In the end, when the gifts are opened, a mountain of waste lies before us on one side while the treasures stand on the other side, infinitesimally smaller on the other side.
I guess when we peel through the layers of self that we have used to package our various carefully constructed personae, we end up with a similar pile of detrius. Our core self stands bare, exposed.
